Duplin County Receives $1.7 Million in FEMA Grant for Costs from Hurricane Florence

Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, June 15th the United States Department of Homeland Security's Federal Management Agency (FEMA) announced that Duplin County a grant totaling in $1,778,161.08. This grant will help repair roads damaged by Hurricane Florence.

Congressman Greg Murphy (NC-03) issued the following statement in response:

"The people of North Carolina are still recovering from the wrath of Hurricane Florence. I am pleased to see that this funding will help with the costs of infrastructural repairs," said Murphy. "I'm happy to see that Duplin County will be getting the help it needs to fix its roads. The safety of our constituents will always be a top priority for me, and I thank FEMA for providing this relief.
