Murphy Applauds Passage of Community Project Funding for NC-03 in Appropriations Package
Washington, D.C. — Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D., issued the following statement in response to the passage of H.R. 6938, the Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment Appropriations Act, which included enormous community project funding wins for North Carolina’s Third District:
"Congress continues to deliver results for the American people by passing an appropriations package that will provide public safety, expand access to vital resources, and advance economic competitiveness," said Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. "This funding provides for vital government agencies that assist Americans every day and deliver on national interests. Through this package, we are supporting reliable energy, boosting nuclear deterrence, improving land management, and enhancing safety response, while simultaneously cutting wasteful spending and prioritizing lower costs for families through accountable policy.
"I am proud that this package includes essential funding for our district to strengthen law enforcement and community safety, as well as our energy and water infrastructure. - East Carolina University (ECU) Police Department Software Upgrades: $254,856
- Town of Winterville Emergency Services Portable Mobile Radio Replacement: $510,594
- Energy and Water Development:
- Army Corps of Engineers (Civil) Operation and Maintenance Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, NC: Budget Request $12,490,000. Additional Amount $4,222,000. Total Amount Provided $16,712,000.
