Murphy Attends First State of the Union Address as U.S. Representative
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. (NC-03) released the following statement after President Trump concluded his State of the Union address.
"It was such an honor to represent the great people of eastern North Carolina at my first State of the Union address tonight," said Murphy. "To begin the speech, President Trump repeatedly listed statistic after statistic illustrating the leaps and bounds the American economy has made under his administration's watch. As he continued, whether the topic was trade, healthcare, immigration or foreign policy, there was not a shortage of accomplishments to which the president could point.
"His speech was encouraging, uplifting and forward-looking. It truly made me feel proud to be an American. Under President Trump's leadership, the American dream has been restored at home and American leadership has been restored abroad. I will continue to support his pro-growth and America-first policies while serving in Congress."
