November 19, 2024

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the United States of America.

"America will never forget the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom," said Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. "It was my privilege to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to honor those who have not been found or identified, as well as those to honor those from North Carolina's 3rd Congressional District who are no longer with us. Our district is home to Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point, and New River Air Stations, and over 76,000 veterans. The cost of war is great, and Eastern North Carolinians understand this so very well. I will always stand up for our troops, past and present, and their families, who have valiantly answered the call to serve our great nation."
