Washington, D.C. – Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. (NC-03) issued the following statement after the Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) announced the North Carolina Department of Public Safety (NCDPS) has received nearly $5 million through the STOP Violence Against Women and the Sexual Assault Services (SAS) formula grant programs to prevent violent crimes against women and assist women who are victims of violence.
